The NBA 2K Series is series of basketball games released annually. It began in 1999 as an exclusive to the Sega Dreamcast. It was originally published by Sega, under the label Sega Sports, and developed by Visual Concepts. It is now published by 2K Sports and still developed by Visual Concepts.

NBA 2K1 was released November 1, 2000 for Dreamcast. It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega Sports. Allen Iverson is the cover athlete.

NBA 2K2Edit

NBA 2K2 was released October 24, 2001 for Dreamcast, January 12, 2002 for PlayStation 2, February 27, 2002 for Xbox, and March 20, 2002 for Gamecube. It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega Sports. Allen Iverson is the cover athlete.

ESPN NBA Basketball (or NBA 2K4) was released October 21, 2003 for Xbox and PlayStation 2. It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega Sports. Allen Iverson was the cover athlete. ESPN NBA 2K5Edit

ESPN NBA 2K5 (or NBA 2K5) was released September 28, 2004 for Xbox and September 30, 2004 for PlayStation 2. It was developed by Visual Concepts and published by Sega and Global Star Software. Ben Wallace was the cover athlete. This is the last NBA 2K game to be published by Sega before Sega sold Visual Concepts to Take Two Interactive. Although the Sega Sports logo isn't shown on screen, the Sega logo is shown instead before the ESPN Videogames logo.

NBA 2K10 was released October 6, 2009 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, and PSP, October 12, 2009 for PC, and November 9, 2009 for Wii. It was developed by Visual Concepts and Kush Games and published by 2K Sports. Kobe Bryant was the cover athlete.

NBA 2K10 Draft CombineEdit

NBA 2K10 Draft Combine was released August 26, 2009 on the Xbox Live Arcade for 400 Microsoft Points and September 3, 2009 on the PlayStation Store for $4.99. The game allows users to create a player and put them through a pre-NBA draft camp with drills and games to increase their draft stock. Users can upload their player to the 2K servers and use the player in the NBA 2K10 My Player mode. Derrick Rose is the cover athlete.

NBA 2K11Edit

NBA 2K11 was released October 5, 2010 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2, PSP, PC, and Wii. It was developed by Visual Concepts and Kush Games and published by 2K Games. Michael Jordan was the cover athlete.
